Record breaking snow

Our courtyard was screaming at us to come and play in it. The snow was perfectly untouched, great for snow angels, snow balls, and a snow man.

Can you see the reflection of the snow on the roof?

Her little scarf. I can't believe I kept forgetting about it this whole winter. Now she brings it to me to put on her and then walks around showing us how pretty she is.
Thanks Megan, or should I say Nataleigh! for letting Taryn have your scarf to wear!

Another post about the snow? Yeah- but why not?

Apparently it hasn't snowed this much or for this long in about 50 years. Schools canceled and shops are closed. With a record fall of 60 cm (almost 2 ft.) the Bolognesi are closing everything because no one knows what to do with it. We stopped at the grocery store on our way home from Julie's yesterday and it was as if it was the end of the world. The store was almost completely empty and there were a ton of people scrambling to find something to take home. We grabbed what few staples would could (good thing we had gotten a few things a couple of days before) and headed home. The average temperature ranges from -3 to -8 degrees Celsius ( 26 - 18 degrees fahrenheit) I know, my sister in Idaho would love at how silly these temperatures are. But when you're not used to weather like this, it can flip your world around. We're trying to have as much fun with the snow as possible (without freezing!).

For this California girl, snow is still a novelty and I love it. I don't know how much longer that will last especially if next year in D.C. is the opposite of what it was this winter. I'm a little worried about that :) Can I ask for a repeat weather year? I can do A LITTLE bit of snow. I don't know about A LOT a bit.
