A Wedding in September

The Happily Engaged Couple after viewing the wedding ceremony
The beautiful Church that the wedding was held in. It had stained glass windows that caught the afternoon sun just perfectly!
Julie's beautiful cake- with French Buttercream ! Yum!
The happy happy couple. I got teary eyed during their wedding ceremony. It was such a cool experience to see a wedding performed like theirs. They are so happy together and everyone knew it.
At the end of the night, the florist for Julie's wedding was sitting at our table. When Tyson and I got up to leave she said, "Here, take this! You are a local right?" and handed me the centerpiece! I was shocked. She explained that everyone had flown in from California and they didn't want all the flowers to go to waste. The beautiful flowers are still just as pretty...sitting in my front room!
Tyson and I loved this experience of going to Julie and Andrew's wedding. I spent 2 1/2 years with Julie in culinary school- each of us uplifting one another through those difficult cooking practicals and assignments. I was honored to be with them on their special day. Their wedding day ( Sept. 26th) also marked 6 weeks until Tyson and I are married in the Newport Beach California Temple. We are so excited !

Jam Jam Jammin'

For the past two nights I have come home after work and started making delicious jam! First I started with Strawberry after Janette told me of the great prices for a pint of strawberries and when I walked into the store I saw the most beautiful sight! Utah Peaches! My love for them goes back to High School when I went to Utah for a week long summer trip. We stopped at a roadside stand and bought a whole box of perfect Utah peaches. We ate peaches everyday!!!! The second day of jam making was dedicated to Peaches! I love that the recipe makes a lot and I can throw the extra in the freezer for the future. Homemade Jam is delicious!

Today marks 50 days left! We got off count for a couple of days until we realized the we were knocking off days faster than they were actually happening! Now we're back on track...and counting down. I think Autumn is trying to come quicker this year. The nights are getting a little cooler and there is more of a breeze in the air. I love Fall!
