Dinner and a Baby Bump

I love when holidays fall on days I don't have to go to work! Valentine's Day dinner was fun to prepare and for dessert I made Creme Brulee. I was very excited to try out the torch my parents gave us - it was so much fun! Tyson whipped out the Flip Camera so the footage will be making a blog appearance soon.

Looks like lil' baby smith won't be a Valentine's baby after all. 39 weeks along and making progress. I love peoples reactions when they ask me, "When are you due," at grocery stores etc... when I say, "Saturday," their jaws drop. It's hilarious! Just a handful of days left!

We started this Lovely Love Day with Heart Shaped Chocolate Chip Pancakes and delicious scrambled eggs with Dill Havarti Cheese.

I love the shirt/tie combo Tyson is wearing! He came out all dressed and lookin' mighty fine! Perfect for the big V-Day at work!

Family & Friends Baby Shower

My sisters-in-law gave the best baby shower for me. I loved everything about it! They did so much work!!!! They spoiled Baby Smith and me - The yummy food, the friends, the family, the adorable get to know each other games and ABC book we all created! Everything was wonderful and I was so happy to have my Mom and little sister, Brooke, from California with us. Thank you Thank you Thank you to everyone who helped create this wonderful baby shower!

The month we will become parents

It's February 1st. Which means there is less than 27 days until we meet our little guy. (I am planning on going past my due date)
One thing my parents taught me about having kids is to always expect them to be late. That way you are not disappointed when they don't arrive early. So I am trying to keep myself focused on the end of February. I am still working- on my feet at least 8 or more hours a day- which has been a good thing for me (but I really think it's starting to get harder).

I go through stages of excitement/nervousness/impatience/ and anxiousness.

Tyson asked me to not have the baby on Tuesdays or Thursdays because he will be in class all day long and this semester (he last) is really hard so he can't afford to miss any days. I told him I would try to accommodate - that is, if Baby Smith is willing to do so as well :)
This past weekend my ward threw me a Baby Shower which was so nice of them. Tyson and I have been so surprised at the generosity of those around us. A crib, dresser, toys, clothes, blankets, and diapers! We are grateful for it all and hope to be as good to others as people have been to us.
