A Tour of Italy- Day 4- Florence part 2

When you see the city from a distance, you realize just how amazing these places are and how long it would have taken to build them way back then.

Lovin' her pasta and bread. She was meant to live in Italy :)

Circa Summer 2009 - Me and the San Lorenzo Open Air Market so you can get a taste of how awesome it is.

What we saw:

Accademia Gallery
Uffizi Gallery
Piazzale Michelangelo- what a view!
Shopping at the San Lorenzo Open Air Market & Mercato Porcellino

Some of the interesting stuff:
There was a constant drizzle of rain which made us wet by the end of the day. Luckily we were inside seeing the "David" at the Accademia and all the other splendor of the Uffizi.
Even though today was the start of the Cultural Week in Italy meaning almost everything was had free entry, we booked a reservation at both Galleries which I would recommend to everyone! We didn't have to wait in that huge long line to get in! Best 4 Euros ever spent!
(Tickets are usually 6.50 Euros plus a 4 euro booking fee if placed in advance)

The run around to find the bus to take us up to Piazzale Michelangelo was quite comical. I wish we had only known we passed the right bus stop about 4 times! Good thing it only took us about 10 min of being in the Train Station area and asking a bus driver, info specialist, and tabacchi clerk to find it!

Didn't get a current picture of the market because of the rain but we were happy with what we walked away with! I really love that open air market.

With all the rain, we were so happy to have Taryn's bubble for her stroller. It meant she stayed dry and could take her naps in peace. Plus, when the rain really came down, she would say "Woohoo!" as it made loud sounds all around her. She did hate it on the stroller about 70% of the time though.
