A Saturday spent in Old Town Alexandria

A little break with fruit snacks while we wait for the trolley

Last Saturday we spent our day in Old Town Alexandria.

We rode around the town on the free trolley for Taryn (greatest air conditioning!!!), visited the Farmer's Market, The old torpedo factory turned Art Center, and went to the Harbor to see boats, ducks, and fish.

After spending a bit in the morning, trying to figure out how to spend our Saturday together, Tyson was the one who came up with this idea and planned the day out. He is the best with planning these little day trips. And Taryn- what a trooper! Our daily adventures are few in this heat/humidity so when days like that Saturday come around (overcast and slightly cooler)I jump at the chance to go and do something different.
I want to go back and do so much more in Old Town!

  1. My mom lives in Alexandria, more along the road towards George Washington's house, but I've been to old town too and it was fun to see your pictures! By the way, for potty training, I'm now bribing the boys to take Isabel into the bathroom with them and then bribe them with candy after they pee sitting down. I'm hoping that she'll catch on and actually sit down too. :)
