Mother Knows Best
I feel so blessed to have a mother like mine! She came down the day after we returned from the hospital and stayed for 6 days. She was so very helpful! Cooking, cleaning, rocking the baby, bathing the baby, teaching me the tricks to being a mother, watching Taryn on my birthday so Tys and I could go out to dinner and providing someone to talk to during Taryn's naps (there is so much more too!)
She really gives all her time to her children. After 6 days of helping me and Taryn, she returned home to tend my brother's two children while he and his wife traveled to look into job opportunities. She is amazing! Throughout her stay there would be many phone calls for her from my siblings (and dad)- some lasting just a few minutes- others lasting for an hour or more. Each child still needs her! It's so comforting to know that I have had a great example of what a mother is to be. I love being a mother. I can't even describe the feeling of love I have for Taryn and I know will continue to grow with each child. I have found myself staring at Taryn while she drifts off to sleep and thinking to myself how incredibly lucky I am to have her in my life.
Thank you Mom for helping me with everything! Taryn, Tyson and I love you for it!
(And I know Taryn misses your "Grandma swaddle.")
